匈牙利著名女翻译家卡扎.罗姆尔，通晓十多种语言。通过多年摸索和学习，她把自己学习外语的丰富经验概括为简明易懂的十条，这对每一个外语学习者都有普遍意义。这十条是：
（1）学习不中断，哪怕挤出10分钟也好，早晨是大好时机。
（2）学厌了可变换一下学习方式或形式。
（3）不要脱离上下文孤立地死记硬背。
（4）随时记下并背熟那些常用的句型。
（5）尽可能“心译”接触到的东西，如一闪而过的广告，偶尔听到的话语等。
（6）只有经过教师修改的东西才值得牢记，也就是说，要记住那些肯定是正确无误的东西
（7）抄录和记忆句型和惯用语时，要用单数第一人称。

怎样才能把这么多单词背下来呢？最重要的一点，就是：如果想比别人成功，就一定要走捷径。不要期盼自己比别人幸运，也不要指望自己比别人更聪明或者更勤奋。从智力上说，从机遇上说，自己和别人都是差不了多少的，想超过和自己差不多的人，就一定要走捷径，捷径，捷径！
